Jim Towns
earned his BFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1999 and joined the staff of PennGallery. His paintings and mixed media pieces have been exhibited at Gallery on 43rd and AHA. A multimedia exhibit called "Bondage Dolls" will be held at Blue Ruin in May. "My figures are not icons, nor are they portraits. I think of them as the ghosts of actors, walking the floorboards of an abandoned stage, portraying characters that have never been written, for an audience that is no longer watching." more
