Charles Smith II
was voted "Pittsburgh's Best Artist of 2000" by the Salem Tobacco Co. While traveling through Thailand, Cambodia, and Korea in 1999 his portraits and nude studies were popular and remain displayed in galleries and private collections throughout those countries and in the U.S. "Eros"-Smith's exhibit of paintings, sketches, and sculpture of the male nude-was held at Blue Ruin in 2001.
